Like a Hollywood awards show, Leissa Berenschott (center) did her self-admitted “Joan Rivers” thing and greeted guests on the red carpet at the Chamber Premiere Party. The event, a debut for the Discover Wisconsin promotional movie about Menomonie and the Dunn County area, hosted about 160 people at the Off Broadway Banquet Center. Berenschott’s daughter, Gayla Thatcher, was also on hand to speak with “celebrities” who arrived by all means of transportation, including the Hummer limo, seen in the background. Here, Todd Burns, a development officer with UW-Stout, enjoyed the light-hearted banter leading into the festivities.

The premiere movie, which was to air on TV last weekend, was pre-empted by a basketball game. The film has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 6, at 5 p.m. on WQOW TV 18.
